How It Teaches It

One day, a neighboring country sent a rare elephant to the emperor. Four blind men came to the palace, and each felt one part of the elephant to feel what it was like. Because each man only felt one part of the elephant, they not only each had a false impression of what an elephant was, but also each thought that his idea alone was right and an argument ensued. The people at the palace bewildered by the blind men's argument, and it also caused the emperor to reflect on his own perspective when facing new situations.
